Miriam Fogelson

Brings two decades of well-rounded leadership experience in the social change nonprofit, philanthropy, impact entertainment, and progressive political sectors. She’s a visionary and innovative change maker who contributes creative thinking, strategic solutions and thoughtful management to bring big ideas to life and move the needle on timely social issues.

Miriam is the Executive Vice President at Harness, where she leads a national organization (founded by America Ferrera, Wilmer Valderrama and Ryan Piers Williams) committed to educating, inspiring, and activating a community of artists, activists, and industry leaders to use the power of storytelling to imagine and create a more equitable world.

As the founder and principal of Girasol Consulting, she led culture change strategies for cutting edge social change and civic engagement clients such as For Freedoms, North Star Fund, and the Pop Culture Collaborative.

Miriam discovered the power of comedy to change hearts and minds as a Senior Associate at Moore + Associates, where she produced high-impact media campaigns such as Halal in the Family, a Peabody Award winning web-series with Aasif Mandvi; humorous GOTV ads for the Obama’s 2012 election cycle; and viral campaigns for Everytown for Gun Safety and We Belong Together.

Miriam’s work has appeared in prominent media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, TIME, MSNBC, CNN and NPR. She is the co-founder of the NY chapter of the Ladies of Comedy Association (LOCA). She has a B.A. in Journalism from Boston University and a M.A. in International Affairs from The New School.
